Body Image and Health Study: Eating Disorders and Body Dissatisfaction among Canadian Gay and Bisexual Men (2008-2009)

The purpose of this study is 1) to estimate the prevalence of eating disorders and level of body image dissatisfaction among a sample of GBM/MSM who attend the “Pride Toronto 2008” Festival; 2 ) to identify factors that may be associated with eating disorders and body image dissatisfaction, including demographics (age, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status), sexual risk behaviour, depression, substance use, levels of internalized homonegativity and history of childhood abuse.
