Year 1 MSW Student Practicum
Year 1 students complete a detailed questionnaire outlining their interests, learning styles, and goals for their field education.
Field instructors who are interested in supervising a Year 1 student are required to complete or update an Application for Field Education online (click here for instructions). Please make sure you communicate your interest to your Educational Coordinator if appropriate.
Using the information gathered from students and the field, the Practicum office will hand match students and field instructors for one interview to take place in November.
Students and field instructors will confirm with the Practicum Office if the match has been successful. Only if the match is incompatible, will another interview be arranged. Please note: The practicum office welcomes your feedback when you feel a match is incompatible. Our goal is to provide a meaningful field educational experience for both the students and the field instructors.
