Lea Tufford, PhD student (University of Toronto)
Lea is in the 2nd year of her doctoral studies and is interested in examining the therapeutic alliance between social worker and client in the occurrence of mandated reporting. Lea has been a clinician for the past 11 years in hospitals, community mental health, employee assistance programs, and private practice. Her areas of specialization include grief, addictions, family violence, illness, and chronic pain. Her research interests include practice effectiveness, qualitative and quantitative research methodology. Lea is a Clinical Member with the Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and maintains a private practice where she counsels individuals, couples, and families. Lea also provides contract service to several Employee Assistance Program firms from across Canada.
