Ellen Katz
PhD, RSW
Ellen Katz is the Educational Coordinator and Senior Clinician at the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, where she oversees MSW student placements, directs the Post-MSW Fellowship, coordinates student family therapy training and practices family therapy. She directs a research project focused on developing an Objective Standard Clinical Examination, OSCE, to test students’ competencies in family therapy. This is a joint research project with the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. She is an Assistant Professor (Status-Only) at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. She received her doctorate in social work from the University of Toronto. Her doctoral research focused on the phenomenon of mindful attention as holistic competence in clinicians.
