Marilyn A. Herie, Ph.D. (Toronto), RSW.
Marilyn Herie has been a therapist and project leader at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) since 1992, and is Project Director of the TEACH Project (Training Enhancement in Applied Cessation Counselling and Health, www.teachproject.ca . She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto; Social Work Coordinator of the Collaborative Program in Addiction Studies at the University of Toronto; and Sessional Instructor at Ryerson University. She has presented at academic conferences throughout Canada and in other countries and has co-authored books, book chapters and articles in scholarly journals on brief treatment, alcohol dependence, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, dissemination research and online learning. She received her doctorate in social work at the University of Toronto, where she conducted research on Web-based continuing education for therapists and health care practitioners
