- Introduction to Cybercounselling, Level 1Cybercounselling - Level 1 is a three module course designed for experienced counselling practitioners who want to be accessible to their clients via e-mail. All modules must be completed in order to be granted Cybercounselling Level 1 certification. Certificates are issued jointly by the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and Therapy Online.
- Advanced Cybercounselling (level 2)Cybercounselling - Level II is a three-module course designed for counselling practitioners who have completed Cybercounselling Level 1 and want to deepen and refine their cybercounselling expertise. Upon competion of Level II, participants are issued certificates provided jointly by the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and Therapy Online.
- Settlement TrainingThis program is directed at front-line workers and program managers working in settlement agencies. It would also be useful for those who are interested in working in a settlement organization. Module 1 is mandatory and any of the other modules, including the advanced electives, may be taken to complete the six-module requirement for the certificate. Modules may be taken independently and learners may choose not to complete a certificate. This program was developed in collaboration with the Centre for Information & Community Services (CICS). The program was made possible through the generous donation of the Buddha's Light International Association of Toronto. Dates to be announced soon.
- Solution-Focused CounsellingThe Certificate Program in Solution-Focused Counselling is intended to teach solution-building skills at a specialist level. Students will learn the skills to conduct interviews in which clients' existing strengths and resources are utilized to help them find solutions to a wide range of human difficulties. This six-module program is directed at professionals in the human service fields such as social work, medicine, nursing, and psychology.
- Interprofessional Certificate in Applied Mindfulness Meditation: Psychotherapy or EducationThis inter-professional certificate is grounded in the comparative literatures of mindfulness, neuroscience, social and health sciences, comparative religion and theology, educational theory, and occupational health. Attention will be paid to mindfulness meditation and it’s application to our living and dying, the health and learning of our clients, families, and teams.
- Grief and Trauma CounsellingThis program is presented by The Canadian Centre for Bereavement Education and Grief Counselling and the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, Continuing Education. Program Entry Requirements: Completion of the Bereavement Education Certificate.
